Every year, the Disneyland Resort organizes several themed evenings in its first theme park (and sometimes in its second). This program of nighttime entertainment for all ages is called Disneyland After Dark and offers unique opportunities to enjoy attractions, stores, restaurants and, above all, exclusive entertainment from dusk until dawn.

The nighttime shows at Disneyland Paris are always a magical experience, not to be missed during your visit. 2023 is an important year for the Walt Disney Company, as it celebrates its centenary. And what better place to start these celebrations than the original park of its creator: Disneyland. In addition to limited culinary and entertainment offerings, the most magical place on Earth will host an all-new show called Wondrous Journey from January 27.

To get there conveniently you can hire a car at Paris Airport. Choose from thousands of Paris car hires available from private and professional buyers near you. Your rental will be insured by Rental24. You can even add additional drivers at no extra cost. Book the best car hire for 7 people near you instantly, even at the last minute.

A Night Of Festivities, Parades And Shows At Disneyland Paris

The Christmas decorations are up, the tree has been erected in Meanstreet Square, the snow cannons have been hidden on the walls, the colorful garlands have made their appearance. In short, everything is ready to offer visitors a dreamlike experience.

Of course, it’s all very dreamy, but the park’s huge crowds at this time of year make the streets and queues absolutely unbearable. Whenever possible, opt for a weekday visit, bearing in mind that the program is identical: the park closes at 8 p.m. instead of 10 p.m., but offers much quieter and more pleasant visiting conditions!

In addition to these long-running shows, offered seasonal Disneyland Paris fireworks for:

  • New Year’s Eve,
  • the Welsh Festival of St. David,
  • St. Patrick’s Day,
  • Bastille Day, D
  • Disney Halloween Nights,
  • Christmas Season (with real creations representing entire seasons, such as The Twinkling Christmas Lights and Disney Dreams! Christmas Party).

On the occasion of its 20th Anniversary, Disneyland Paris France presents Disney Dreams! a brand-new creation like no other, combining pyrotechnics, fountains, flames and high-quality video projections that tell the story of how Peter Pan’s shadow found itself immersed in different tales, the magic of which was preserved in the second star on the right… It was replaced five years later by Disney Illuminations, as the Park celebrated its quarter-century.

The Disney Dreams Parade

This parade is in its final stages. It is due to be replaced in 2012 by a new daily parade. Some of the special effects that were neglected at certain presentation periods have been reinstated (rose scents as the princesses’ float passes, bubbles, etc.), giving it back its fairytale aspect.

Opened by the Mickey and Minnie float, this Disney Stars on Parade takes us to the most emblematic worlds of Disney cartoons. The floats feature two different worlds, but all have one thing in common: London, the jungle… Each float is accompanied by Disney characters and a troupe of dancers, depending on the time of year and the number of visitors to the park.

An exclusive show at the Disneyland Resort?

For the majority of nighttime shows, what happens at the Disneyland Resort stays there. Nevertheless, the Walt Disney Company’s centenary festivities concern all Disney parks. In the article shared by the California resort, we read:

This might imply that the show would not be exclusive to California, but could be performed in other parks, particularly those grouped under the name Disney Parks. This includes Disneyland Paris, so it’s natural to dream of seeing what looks like an incredible show come to our shores.

In any case, Wondrous Journey will be lighting up the skies over Anaheim from January 27. How about you?

Princess Aurora’s Christmas wish show

This show occurs between the Dream Parade and the Electric Parade, to keep the public waiting around the large roundabout in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle. It retraces an episode from a famous cartoon in song, dance and special effects.

The Fantillusion parade

Fantillusion is a parade that began touring the park in summer 2003. It’s an event parade that can only be seen during the summer vacations and the festive season.

The 12 floats parade to music, with a lighting system synchronized to the park’s music. The parade stops in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle to transform. You’ll have to be patient to get a good seat and enjoy the show, despite the incredible density of spectators in this area.
