Magic Kingdom

The fun starts in the world of magic, so let’s start the discussion with Magic Kingdom at Disney World.

The construction walls are still blocking off the area at Centre Street next to Uptown Jewelers. So, you will not be able to access the seating area till now.

Even if it looks like the pavement is being repaired, who can say this might be a disguised work-in-progress for some underground tunnel ride!

The Tron Coaster construction is still on. Some new equipment for construction has also arrived earlier, and barricades have been put up around the dirt blocks.

2017 D23 Expo announced the launch of the TRON Lightcycle Run. It has two-wheeled light cycles giving it a coaster-like feel. Thus, this is one of the most thrilling adventures available at Disney World.

The ride is undergoing the testing stage, so they may be busy laying the outside makeover.

With the construction at the site outside the TRON building, there are also changes with Walt Disney World Railroad.

Even if incomplete, one can see the tracks on both sides of the construction site. It seems like the train ride across Magic Kingdom is not too far.

Some updates are also there near Space Mountain. The Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. is undergoing some changes.

The store’s outside façade is covered, and the work is progressing on the walkway next to the building and the building itself.

The gift shop beside the Haunted Mansion is also a constriction site. However, Memento Mori’s construction got over this week, and they also moved the registers.

So additionally, as the 50th-anniversary celebrations continue, the updates and changes are ceaseless. Keep your eyes and ears open for the birth of new magics inside the Magic Kingdom.

EPCOT

Even if the train village area in German Pavilion is blocked, the main construction is happening right in the middle of the park.

The World Celebration, along with World Nature, is going through a BIG makeover. The construction of Journey of Water- Inspired by Moana is continuing, and the structures have increased in number.

The Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is on the wind, and the Journey of Water- Inspired by Moana is just following the construction trail.

The lush exploration walk trail will have many new features and elements; they depicted this as part of presenting some concept art from the reconstruction project.

The newest attractions are jumping fountains, water streams, and several water pathways. Here, the guests will have a more personal interaction with water, just like the human-animal interaction at Animal Kingdom!

Like Animal Kingdom, conservation education and storytelling will also have the center stage, as shared by Zach Riddley, Disney Imagineer.

New gardens, CommuniCore Hall, CommuniCore Plaza, and Dreamers Point will be the new sites in this area.

Once the entire construction is done, it will be so exciting to visit the park again and walk through its middle path!

Disney World Things to Do That Ends With 2021

Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios is not free from construction either.

The most noticeable change is the replacement of the pavement in front of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

Thus, various parts have barricades now. If you want to walk down that road, be a little careful and don’t trip over construction materials.

Did you know about the Alien Swirling Saucers – Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios? It is a rotating trailer hitch-style attraction. It has the Pizza Planet aliens from Toy Story.

So, if you want a fun and safe ride, this could be your best option. The height requirement for this ride in Andy’s Backyard is 38 inches.

However, this toy play set is now under reconstruction/ The left half of the ride is operating, but the right side has a big blue construction wall.

So, if you plan to visit Disney World, Hollywood Studios, in particular, any time soon, then you should cross Alien Swirling Saucers off your list for the time being.
