Disney World closures July, 2022 give you the list of rides and attractions you need to keep out from your bucket list if visiting this month!
The month of July at Disney World started with July the 4th celebrations. So, even if it is one of the hottest times to visit Disney World, the place sees a considerable amount of guest influx.
However, if you have planned your trip to Disney World in July, you should know about all those things which shall remain closed this month.
Since you get to know this beforehand, you can plan your stay accordingly and not get heartbroken by seeing the under construction or temporarily closed sign.
Many new things appeared at Disney World in July. That includes Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond, Adventures Outpost, and the newest addition, Guardians of the Galaxy.
Disney Grand Floridian Spa and Resort has also seen the opening of brand-new grand villas. However, alongside this good news, some things will remain closed at Disney World. Let’s have a quick look at them!
Magic Kingdom Closures
Let’s begin with all that will remain closed in the Magic Kingdom:
Walt Disney World Railroad
Transportation inside Disney World is also magical and can give you a myriad feeling of traveling inside the land of wonders.
One of the keystones of Disney transportation is the Disney railroad. The pristine stations warmly welcome the guests as they board the train to hover around the Magic Kingdom.
However, this attraction is now closed for the last three years. Moreover, TRON: Lightcycle Run construction is also underway, blocking the railroads recently.
Disney hasn’t yet confirmed any opening date for the railroads. However, one can presume that the opening date now largely depends on when the construction of Tron will get over.
Enchanted Tales with Belle
If your kid is a fan of Beauty and the Beast, this is a place where you can take them for a short recluse.
Here, they can meet Belle in person. However, it has been closed in Magic Kingdom for some time, and it is expected to remain so in July.
Pete’s Silly Sideshows
Pete’s Silly Sideshows can be a good sidekick if you are tired of the crowd inside Disney World and need a break but still want to join some entertainment. Here, you could have met the favorite characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Goofy, Donald, Minnie, and Daisy.
Even though it is closed for now and will remain closed in July, there are talks that it will reopen soon.
Harmony Barber Shop
While the place is closed now, Harmony Barber Shop is set to reopen on July 31, 2022. This is a real barber shop.
If you want a quick haircut and a makeover for your Disney Vacation, this is the place where you can make a stop.
You can make your appointments online in the My Disney Experience App. However, you will have to wait till 31st July as it remains closed till then.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
This is another place which is best suitable for makeovers of little girls. If your kid is excited to turn themselves into a pretty Disney princess, this is where they can achieve this dream. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is located behind the Sleeping Beauty Castle.
However, this is closed now. But, your child’s dreams can get wings if you visit the place after August 25th because that is the opening date for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
However, Disney Grand Floridian Resort and Disney Springs will not be open on those dates. Disney has announced that these locations will open “later.”
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Closures
Fantasmic
The attraction is situated at the tail end of Hollywood Boulevard, and this is a mesmerizing nighttime spectacle. It includes water effects and fireworks.
Pyrotechnics, and lasers. You wouldn’t want to miss this spectacle had it been open in July.
But to your dismay, the attraction is another addition to the list Disney World closures July 2022. Fantasmic has been, however, reopened in Disneyland, California.
However, the attraction is still under construction. Even though Disney hasn’t yet shared any opening date, it will depend on when the construction is over.
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Voyage of the Little Mermaid is a 17-minute ride that retells the Disney stories and the iconic music. It will have special effects, live actors, film clips, and puppets. This show, however, remains closed in July. We do not have any clear information regarding its reopening.
Character Meet and Greets at Star War Launch Bay
If you are a fan of Star Wars and want to meet the Star Wars character, nothing can beat Star War Launch Bay multipart experience.
From character meet and greets to buying props and merchandise from the film, this is a wholesome experience. Your favorite characters like BB-8, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader will be the show’s stars.
Even though it remains closed now, Star War fans, you will not have to wait for long. Star War Launch Bay meet and will reopen on 17th July. Also, passes will be available on Genie+ on that day.
Animal Kingdom Closures
Celebration of Festival of the Lion King
Can closures be exciting? Well, the answer is yes if something new is occupying its place of it. Something similar is happening with the Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King. This attraction will close, and the Festival of the Lion King is finally returning.
The period for closing the Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King is July 5th to July 15th. Subsequently, on the very next day, the Festival of the Lion King will be reopened.
Additionally, the return of acrobatic birds and tumble monkeys in the show is also expected. So, keep that closure in mind and accordingly plan your stay considering the reopening of the Festival of the Lion King.
EPCOT closures
Canada Far & Wide in Circlevision 360.
EPCOT Food and Wine Festival will start on 14th July and run until 19th November 2022. So, to make space for the arrangements required for Food and Wine Festival, Canada Far & Wide Circlevision 360 will remain closed temporarily.
This location will house The Appleseed Orchard Booth for Food and Wine Festival, EPCOT. So, this is not a closure but a temporary rearrangement of spaces.
Disney water Park Closures
Blizzard Beach
The two enormous water parks of Disney World are Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. It closed down for refurbishment on January 1st.
It is a ski-themed water park and is larger than Typhoon Lagoon. The place has a children’s area, a wave pool, a lazy river, and various slides, making it perfect for having fun with the family.
However, Disney hasn’t yet announced any reopening date for Blizzard Beach and will remain closed for the entire month of July.
